DEEP SKIN BEAUTIFICATION TREATMENTS:

The Alma laser system’s IPL Photofacial treatment, is a med spa laser treatment that helps increase skin surface appearance and texture. This helps clear away imperfections and create a natural vibrant and youthful look and feel.

Alma’s IPL treatment is used as a form of anti aging laser to treat: Rosacea, Capillaries, Angiomas, Pigmentation, and Melasma.

Intense Pulsed Light works by penetrating beneath the skin to deliver heat to certain colored pigments beneath the surface. When treating reds it causes the vessels to coagulate and be absorbed by the body. When treating browns it causes the pigments to rise to the surface and gently flake off.

Most clients find it very tolerable. It is often described as a slight heated sensation with the feeling of elastic bands snapping against the skins surface.

It is often reported you will see results after just one treatment. Typically 3-4 weeks after your first session you will begin to notice a decrease in redness and pigmentation. It is often recommended you complete a series of 3-6 sessions, spaced a minimum of 4 weeks apart.

Pre treatment it is very important to avoid sun exposure. After treatment you will have slight redness. This can last a few hours up to a few days depending on the severity of the condition being treated. Brown spots often appear darker in the days following treatment and begin to gently flake off within 1-2 weeks. We suggest using a light moisturizer, avoiding any activities that produce heat in the area for 24 hours, wearing SPF and avoiding sun exposure throughout your treatment series. As well we suggest avoiding using any products with active ingredients 5 days before and after a treatment session.

I came in for Rosacea on my cheeks, and the staff recommended IPL treatment. I was a little skeptical at first because it was new to me, but they informed me about the safety and effectiveness of this treatment. I’m glad I came in and they were able to help me because my skin looks amazing. I have never seen it this clear, and even-toned, in my entire life.
