Alma’s laser can treat a wide variety of colors. The high powered 1064 nm: ND-YAG laser can successfully treat unwanted dark colored tattoos including Blue, Black and Green, while the 532 nm wavelength can successfully treat unwanted colored tattoos including red, orange and yellow. The laser works by breaking apart the ink deposited into the skin.  Your immune system then works to rid the body of the particles in turn causing the tattoo to fade.  ND-YAG  can be used safely  to treat all skin types.

We will apply a topical anesthetic over the treatment area to help ease any discomfort you may experience. Often clients describe the sensation as warm elastic bands snapping against the skin.

Depending on the tattoo size, type of ink and whether it was done professionally, clients typically start to see results after 2-3 treatments. The number of sessions varies between 5 and 12 and should be spaced out a minimum of 4 weeks apart.

Pre and post treatment we suggest avoiding sun exposure to the area in order to prevent any pigmentation from developing. Post treatment the area will be irritated and red. It is possible to develop blisters or scabs. If this occurs we suggest applying polysporin and keeping the area protected for 24 hours. We suggest avoiding any activities that will deliver heat to the area for 24 hours such as warm baths, saunas or intense work outs.
